Dr. Matthew Galfund
Widely recognized by his peers and patients for his outstanding clinical skills in dentistry, Dr. Matthew Galfund is a graduate of the College of New York (1980-1984) and New York University Dental School (1984-1989) where he was President of his Class from his sophomore through Senior years.
At NYU Dental School, he was a recipient of the prestigious Hymann J. Schoor Award. His Dental Residency and Dental Anesthesiology Residency were completed at Mount Sinai Hospital in NY from 1989-1991. There he utilized all phases of Anesthesia and Pain management including local anesthesia sedation and general anesthesia. In 1991-1992, Dr. Galfund completed a Fellowship in Oral Surgery at Woodhull Hospital in Brooklyn, NY, where he performed all minor oral surgical procedures including tooth extractions, dental alveolar surgery and treatment of tooth and facial fractures.
He opened his first private practice in NY in 1992. In 1999, he relocated his practice to its current location in Norwood, NJ. In addition to his dental practice, Dr. Galfund is a devoted family man who is married with 2 children. He cares deeply for his community and gives back by staying active locally. He finds the time to coach several sports team in town and is an active volunteer for the American Oral Cancer Association.
